QuickSpin: Integration with Connectwise

How do I set up or update my ConnectWise Integration to bill for QuickSpin licenses?

Overview


With the release of version 5.1 we now offer QuickSpin VM backups.  In order to enable this backup type on an account you must purchase and apply a QuickSpin backup license for each host that is being backed up from.  This article details how to set up or update your ConnectWise integration in order to bill clients for these QuickSpin backup licenses.

Solutions


If you are setting up a new ConnectWise integration:


1) Access the Integration guide and follow it to page 15: https://support.intronis.com/%40api/...?origin=mt-web
2) On the "Managed Devices Integration" table in ConnectWise you will need to add a cross-reference with type "QuickSpin" to each level that you set up in the earlier steps.
3) Map this cross-reference to a product that charges per QuickSpin License. (e.g. The "price" on the product should be $100 if you are charging $100 per license)


If you are updating an existing ConnectWise integration:


1) Navigate to the "Managed Devices Integration" under "Setup Tables" in ConnectWise
2) Create a new cross-reference with type "QuickSpin" for each level that you have set up.
3) Map this cross-reference to a product that charges per QuickSpin License. (e.g. The "price" on the product should be $100 if you are charging $100 per license)

Solution Verification


1) When our billing sync runs, once per day, we will transfer the total number of QuickSpin licenses assigned to each account into an addition on the agreement of each linked company. If   the company is using 0 licenses we will transfer a 0 into this addition.
