How do I find and send the agent log files from my desktop computer to ECHOshare to help troubleshoot problems?

 

In some cases it will be necessary for ECHOshare to obtain the log files related to sync operations from your computer to understand the root cause of the problem. To obtain the log files:

 

Windows:

  1. Open Internet Explorer and enter the command "ECHO:xml" into the URL bar. This will open the folder location with configuration files for ECHOshare.
  2. Find all the files that are named with the extensions "*.log” and "*.dmp".
  3. Create a ZIP file containing the files located in step 2.
  4. Email the created .zip file to support@Intronis.com, quoting the support reference number in the subject line.

 

Mac:

  1. In Finder, click on Go’ in the Menu Bar and select Go to Folder…’
  2. Type in ‘~/library/logs/’ and click Go’
  3. Locate ‘ECHOshareAgent.log’, right click and select Compress “ECHOshareAgent.log”’
  4. Email the created .zip file to support@Intronis.com, quoting the support reference number in the subject line.
